I love LG phones, they're really great: they come with everything I really need or want and they're organized just how I want them to be. But U.S. Cellular seems to get the most awful LG phones around. I would DIE for a Shine, but I don't want to switch companies just to get a phone. PLEASE I want the Shine on U.S. Cellular PLEASE!!! Or even just better phones than the bottom of the barrel.

The ux 830 is the phone I'm looking at now.  My lsat 2 phones were Rokr or Roker or whatever you call the newish slider phone from Motorola.  Both phones were ruined from water damage withought ever really getting wet.  I had the last one NEAR the tub while taking a bath and never got it wet, just moisture in the air and yet several of the keys were dead.  I got so frustrated I dried it out in the oven and fried part of the screen.  I just hope the 830 is a little more durable.  I googled water prof phones and there a lot of sites that come up, one Nokia was $850.  I am not going to pay that much.  I just hope the 830 is a little more durable.  Feedback please.

The 830 is the model number of the Glimmer not the Shine... USCC doesn't carry the shine.....

Cellular One just bought out Chinook Wireless in Montana. I switched to them from Verizon thinking the phones would be better. I really want a VU, I am not sure though if I buy it and put the sim card from my Sony Ericsson into it that it will work. Does anyone know if we buy phones from AT&T if they will work on our network? How do I know if the phone I am buying is "unlocked"?
