Last Thursday I went in to US Cellular to have my firmware on my LG Tritan upgraded. About an hour and a half later, everything affiliated with EasyEdge quit working. I've called tech support twice now and they say that it's a known problem and they're working on it. I have seen NOTHING about this problem anywhere online and I was just curious if anyone else out there was having this problem.

It's version V05 which is the most up to date, the US Cellular techs said it was an LG problem and not a problem of theirs. So I pretty much only do about half of what I'm paying for. US Cellular credited my account $25, but that doesn't solve the problem. They said that they can fix it as soon as LG fixes it. Which could be god knows when, but it better be soon.

What is your EsayEdge version? My Tritan has no problems with the contacts backup, navigator or email (these are the only three I use).

I personally had issues with this firmware upgrade. Unfortunately, mine was due to an incompetent technician. He accidentally messed up the flash process and the flasher had deleted alot of the .swf menus that reside on the phone, therefore bricking it. They then tried to blame it on me and give me a "loaner" phone because it was out of the 30 day warranty period(that makes sense, brick my phone then tell me to piss off).

Please be VERY careful which USCellular store you take your tritan to when having the firmware upgraded. (if they have more than 1 on site technician at a time, then they are most likely qualified, else go to the next store!)

what a bad experience, we really need to be careful on who we are giving our phones to. but I think we can do the firmware upgrade by ourselves right? there are lots of tutorials and guides out there.
