So Sometimes your Tritan only recognizes screen taps on the right side of the screen? Have you tried doing a soft reset by pulling the battery out for a minute or so? I would first try that and see if it helps at all....

Have you had your Tritan hook up to your PC in the past? Has it just stopped working? What errors are you seeing?

For the screen issue, I would suggest trying to recalibrate it. If it happens after this point, more than likely, the screen has a short in it.

As for connecting to the computer: There are 2 modes supported by the Tritan. The first is "USB Mass Storage". In this mode, the Tritan will act like a flash drive and allow you to edit the contents of specific folders (I believe this requires an SD card). The second mode is "USB Modem". If you are trying to edit items IN the phone (not view your sd card), you must use this mode. This mode establishes a com port that allows the computer to talk to it as if it were a communications device. To do anything to the phone, you will either have to use the Official (yet illegal) connection software, or Bitpim to interface with the phone.

(note: bitpim does not "support" the ux840 yet, so you must identify it as a ux10000, and then go into the filesystem manually, but BE CAREFUL).

this phone requires a MicroSD card to sync to the PC. If it syncs to another computer and not yours, you could try manually installing the drivers.

I also have the same problem. My computer will not connect with the tritan. I have a sd card installed. The phone does say "connected" but I can not view pictures or transfer music to phone from my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to transfer audio books and music to my phone, and transfer my photos to my computer. HELP

Once your Tritan is attached to your PC You have to put the Tritan into Mass Storage mode... Go to SETTINGS>> PHONE SETTINGS>> USB CONNECTION>> MASS STORAGE. Now your MicroSD card that's in the phone should show up under "My Computer" as another removable drive. You can copy files to and from the MicroSD card as you need. If you want to sync music to the card, you can do it in this mode, or if you just want to copy files to it you can do that as well.
