As I am an LG EnV Touch owner I would like to the phone excel in many ways. One big problem that I have had with my LG EnV Touch is the music player. Whenever I am listening to music and I receive a text or picture message, my music pauses and does not resume until I press reply or exit out of the text. This is very inconvenient to me since I send and receive a numerous amount of texts. I have noticed that the music also pauses when you access the pictures as well. I have noticed on my mom’s LG EnV3 that it has no problem with the above. It can do all of the above (view texts/pics messages, view pictures) without any interruption. I have also tried the LG Chocolate Touch at the Verizon store and it has no problems with that as well. LG is it possible for you please fix this problem in the phone’s system? You can stop that by doing the following:

Tools>>MyMusic>>MusicSettings>>Music Only. If you set to 'ON' ... all voice and data calls will be ignored when music is playing. Just remember to turn it off when you are done with the music, otherwise all calls will continue to go to voice mail.

I very well know about Music Only Mode. I cannot leave my phone on it.... what if there is an emergency and people are trying to text/call me? I just want my phone to have the same features (listen to music without it pausing when you are viewing your text/pics messages and your pictures) as the LG Chocolate Touch and the LG EnV3. They are the same brand phones, they were release in the order of the EnV3, EnV Touch, and Chocolate Touch it does not make sense... LG can you please fix this problem? Thank you for your time......

It just does not make sense that 1 out of the new 3 LG phones cannot play music while reading a text/pic message or view their pictures.

What is your take on this bug LG Product Pro?

Yes I can see how this would be annoying. Version "08" is the latest version of the software for the Touch. I'm not sure if this was addressed or not, But I have noted the issue and I'll see if I can get a response.

Update? not as of yet.... I haven't dug into the ver 08 update too much to see if anything real interesting has changed. So I'll have to try the Music Player to see if it's been modified. I do know there is a new Browser in "08"

I meant updates as in has anything new happened with everything. Yes I have v08 and the new browser is polaris7. The Music Player has not been modified to my knowledge.

Has v09 been released? If it has... can anyone tell me if the update fixed the music player pausing when you are viewing a new/already viewed text/pics message? Or if it pauses when you are viewing your pictures?

Ver '09' has been released and is starting to hit the Verizon stores this week. It has a new Browser application, and I'm trying to get a list of what else was changed, but i doesn't appear that ver '09' has changed the behavior of the music player. It still pauses when a Txt message has been received as well as pausing while viewing pictures.

Actually, it was released 2 weeks ago. I had it installed last friday night at a Verizon store. Yes, there is a new browser, but ... mot sure it's any easier to use than the original?

Also ... twice my unit has powered Off ... while in my pocket doing nothing ... since installing V09. This has *never* happened before ... since I got the phone last May.

I've also had a problem with this. My env3 was a piece of junk, but it did let me view/respond to texts while still listening to music. Music Only Mode is not a viable option. A media player update would be nice!

Me three! Just got my enV Touch today, and the problem with the media player pause is the only issue I've discovered thus far. Otherwise I like the phone a lot!

My last phone was a chocolate 3. It is kind of a let down that an older phone will allow you to send and receive texts while seamlessly playing music but the enV touch will not. I really hope this gets fixed soon
