I've seen several posts related to the process and requirements for downloading pictures from the Xenon GR500 phone to a PC. I didn't see a succinct answer, though, so am posting this to show the stpes I went through to connect my phone to my Windows PC (running XP Pro) and download the pictures form my phone to a folder on my PC. Let me know if you need more info about any of the steps. 1. Install microSD in phone. (I got mine at Frys. It is a Kingston 2GB) 2. You do not need to format the card. If you see an error related to needing a license and formatting the card when you connect the USB cable, then you need to do the following: Go to the Settings on your phone. The Settings icon looks like gear. I get there by clicking the blue box with 4 white dots in it at the bottom right corner of my home screen. On the next page, I click the icon that looks like a gear. Then I click. Then click the More icon (also a gear, with a + sign on it). On the next page, click Connection. Then click USB Connection. Set it to Mass Storage. (The default on my phone was Music Sync.) 3. Acquire data cable. I used an existing mp3 cable for my ZenStone and an adaptor so that the mp3 cable fits in my GR500 phone. I got the adaptor from a rocketfish mobile charging cable kit (item RF-CA1MRA, purchased at Best Buy) 4. Plug one end of the cable into a computer USB port and the other end into the phone port (the same port as the charging port, on top of the phone). When I did this, the phone indicated that it was connected and kept a window up showing connectivity. 5. Now you should be able to copy and move pictures via windows explorer (other options may appear also, they did on my computer) 5. Disconnect the phone from the computer via the normal USB disconnect procedure
