I've had this phone almost a year. It was a christmas gift, bought over a year ago now. Yes, it has been dropped a little 10-20 times. A couple on the wood floor and the rest on carpet. I text quite a lot and use the music often. I do love this phone but I have been having issues the past 3 months. They started out small and kept occuring and getting bigger. This phone pretty much has to last me to next year.

Here are the issues I am having...

1: it goes through the contact or all calls list entirely on its own and calls random people.
2: the bottom and left side of the wheel board are no longer working..the bottom went out before the left side. The left side makes the subscreen ripple when touched now.
3: The right touch screendash has stopped working and the backspace one is very hard to get to work.
4: The talk button and the buttons around it get stuck and have to be picked out with a thin flathead screwdriver. This stops the random calling. I use t9word and unless the talk and other buttons are picked out, it will "write texts for me" when I start a new one. Jibberish of course. I have to take the battery out before I do my temporary fix.
5: the speakerphone button now alternately controls the bottom, top, and left wheel buttons. It also is, I think, part of the culprit in random calling.
6: when the phone is opened, the screen with music, xm mobile radio, buy ringtones, and ringers, on it pops up instantly.
7: the sd card is not always read and the phone will have to be turned off to get it to read it.

I have not taken this into our local alltel/verison shop yet. I'm afraid my phone is too old for warranty repair and I honestly do not have the money to pay for another.

Any cheap fixes/known causes?

With the list of issues you are having with your Rhythm, I would definitely say it needs to be looked at by Customer Service. While some of the issues could be software related, which might be resolved by resetting the phone, most sound like they are hardware related. I would contact LG Support and see if they can help you. There number is: (800) 793-8896

Let me know what Happens
